I have great news for you: dark chocolate is not only very tasty, but there are also more and more voices pointing to its multiple benefits for our health.
It is a great antioxidant that improves our memory, improves cognitive performance of the brain, helps us to process information better, improving attention, learning, reasoning or the ability to solve problems.
That’s why this recipe is so amazing, because it contains dark chocolate and it is also sugar and flour free! It’s perfect if you’re following a low-carb diet, watching your blood sugar levels or following a ketogenic plan.
INGREDIENTS (12 servings)
▪️ 1 cup cooking cream
▪️ 100 g dark chocolate chunks 🍫 (at least 70% cocoa- I used 95%)
▪️ 30- 50 g erythritol (depending on how bitter the chocolate is – I used 40 g)
▪️ 30 g butter 🧈
▪️ 1 tsp vanilla essence
▪️ 50 g pecans, chopped
👩🍳 PREPARATION
1. In a saucepan over low heat 🔥, melt the butter. Add the cream, erythritol and vanilla essence. Continue cooking for 15 minutes, stirring 🥣 constantly, until a condensed milk is formed (when it reduces by half and forms a sticky cream).
2. Remove the condensed milk to a bowl and let cool for 5 minutes ⏲
Pour the chopped chocolate and mix until completely melted. Pour the mixture into a medium mold (I used 20 cm x 15 cm) covered with butter or parchment paper. Sprinkle the nuts on top.
3. Refrigerate ❄️ for one hour or until completely cooled. Cut into bars or squares and set aside in the fridge.
4. Enjoy! 😋
