KETO BREAD RECIPE

This recipe is ideal if you are trying to reduce your carbohydrate intake but still want to enjoy a nice slice of bread here and there.Traditional bread – yes, even whole wheat and whole grain – is too high in carbohydrates to include on a ketogenic or low carb diet, so this recipe can be included if you miss the occasional sandwich or roll with your meal.

This recipe is low in carbs and high in healthy fats!

INGREDIENTS:

200 grams of almond flour
7 eggs
100 g melted butter
30 g liquid coconut oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄2 tsp xanthan gum
1⁄2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2 In a large bowl, beat the eggs for 3 minutes.
3 Add the melted butter and coconut oil and whisk until blended.
4 Add the dry ingredients to the bowl: almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum and salt. Mix with a fork until a paste is formed.
5 Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper or greased with butter.
6 Bake in the oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry.
7 Let the bread cool completely on a rack before slicing.
