What is also great about it is that is a simple and tasty addition to many dishes. It can be eaten raw, cooked, or fermented, which adds to its versatility. In my case I do a sauté with red onions and a bit of avocado oil and then I add the cabbage on top for it to have a tastier flavour.
I was asked for a recipe and here it is…. This is how I cook Red Cabbage!
You will need:
– A quarter of a red cabbage
– 3 tsp of avocado oil
– One small onion
– Garlic to taste
– Salt to taste
Instructions:
1- Warm up a pan with the oil (make sure it doesn’t burn)
2- Cut the onion in small pieces.
3- Chop the garlic heads finely.
4- Chop the red cabbage however you want.
5- Add the onion and the garlic to the pan. Cook using medium heat until onions and translucent.
6- Add the cabbage and stir often until the cabbage achieves the desired consistency. Add also the salt and the pepper.
